The Customizable and Adaptable Methodology for Managing Projects™

CAM2P™, The Customizable and Adaptable Methodology for Managing Projects™, is the SUKAD approach for managing projects. This approach considers the whole project life span (project life cycle). In simple terms: this means taking a project from idea to closure; depend on the situation – beyond closure. SUKAD developed this approach in response to a gap in understanding and the practice of project management. Many practitioners understand the principles but face challenges in applying them successfully.

SUKAD recognizes that oneCAM2P™, The Customizable and Adaptable Methodology for Managing Projects™ of the challenges today in enhancing performance is the over-dependence on the “common practice” and on certifications that are highly popular, yet limited. One of the global standards for project management is a Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge® (PMBOK® Guide). Although a great guide, yet it only discusses the project life cycle as a section in a single chapter, while ten other chapters focus on project processes, represented in five process groups and ten knowledge areas. As we work with project management professionals, we consistently realize that many of them either entirely forget about the project life cycle, or do not fully understand how to map process groups along the phases of a project. Hence, the reason for developing the holistic CAM2P™ approach that successfully tackles some of the greatest issues with managing projects.

A brief write up on the characteristics of the methodology, can be viewed on the CAM2P Characteristics page.
